This 82-lot rural subdivision located in Edmond was designed around the existing topography and vegetation. The primary goal was to retain the wooded character found in the cross timbers area of northeast Oklahoma City/Edmond. Our design team used meandering streets and planter islands to preserve the larger trees in order to maintain the rural aesthetic of the property. Additionally, we engineered low-impact stormwater and drainage solutions to reduce the amount of visible infrastructure and provide beautiful walking trails. Through close collaboration with the developer and contractors, we were able to prevent the unnecessary clearing of trees. The development is now completely built out and the end result is a quiet, low-impact subdivision that pays respect to the existing site conditions.
