Lake Hefner Roadway Improvements
This project provided roadway and improvements to the dam embankment of Lake Hefner, one of Oklahoma City’s main surface supply reservoirs and a high-use, urban recreational facility. As such, this project was deemed high-profile, critical, and time sensitive. Improvements included three miles of milling & overlaying of the roadway atop the dam, pedestrian & vehicular barrier replacement along the top of the embankment, barrier wall repair, augmentation of the interior embankment rip-rap, and just under 2.5 miles of erosion repair & bank stabilization of the outer embankment. The project was completed in 2008 for the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust.
