Midtown Streetscapes

Completed in early 2009, this two-phase project covers 7,700 linear feet of street frontage. The Midtown Streetscapes project ties the downtown business and arts districts to the historic Midtown area and urban neighborhoods just to the north. It also established a new identity for the west half of the 10th Street Medical Business District Corridor, and was coordinated with an extensive campus expansion plan for St. Anthony Hospital. The project involved site inventory & data collection, creation of survey information, amenity & infrastructure design, schematics, CDs/bidding, and construction administration. Challenges included the construction of the first roundabout built in Oklahoma City in the last 50 years, which proved to be so successful that a matching roundabout was added three blocks west in the second phase of this project.
