Work included all civil engineering and site design for development of a 130 acre mixed-use residential and commercial development in north Oklahoma City. Specific duties included preparation of a planned unit development document that set up the zoning requirements for the property, as well as processing of initial and final plats for the development design. Civil work included all surveying, preliminary & final dimensional plans, paving & grading plans, utility plans, public utility extension, erosion control plans & manuals, and public & private roadway improvement plans. Engineering challenges included the creation of lot and roadway design to convey a “rural” setting, accommodation of private septic systems for a portion of the site, accommodation of self-imposed, extensive tree preservation, and the creation of a desirable design which addressed the desires and concerns of adjacent property owners.
