Gaillardia

Johnson & Associates has been the Engineer of Record for Gaillardia since the current owners acquired the project in 2004. Our firm came into the project after the original development, which caused us to be faced with various design challenges. Challenges included the need to remedy poorly designed irrigation systems and revamp several of the holes on the golf course. During the flooding of 2006, many of the golf course’s holes and facilities suffered a great amount of damage and flood related problems that required resolution. Additionally, Gaillardia is the only course in the City that uses “re-use” wastewater for irrigation. Moving to this system required the reworking of several water flow systems to meet ODEQ requirements. The newest development is The Promenade, which is centered around a “Central Park” theme. The Promenade is a higher density development with a New Urbanist approach.
